Discipline
Before we start talking real numbers, we need to discuss discipline.
Without discipline, everything you read in this article would be of no use at all! To be successful in sports betting you need to put up a plan and then
follow it. It’s when you start playing on impulse and wish to add extra amounts of a bet as you start losing your bankroll. Upload a strategy and STICK TO IT! You have to realize that this is the only way to win at sports betting in the long run.
Strategy
Sports betting sounds incredibly simple but add money management, then it immediately becomes tougher!
Do not nag, BUT if you can’t be disciplined, it is great risk that you become a loser in the long run. The biggest problem that novice is that you play too much of a match. If you have a bankroll of € 5,000, you might think it’s okay to bet € 300-400 in a match?
Wrong, it’s just too much and you are almost guaranteed to lose everything. Here is the golden rule:
When you bet on sports, you should NEVER bet more than 5% of your bankroll on one game, and normally you should invest between 2-3% of your bankroll on one game.
So, your normal bet will therefore be between 2-3% of your bankroll. If you could find a bet that you consider as very safe, you can bet up to 5% of your bankroll.
Example: If your bankroll is € 5,000, you should bet between 100 and 150 per game.
Example: If your bankroll is € 10,000, you should bet between 200 and 300 per game.
That said, the hardest thing will be to stick to your
strategy, that NEVER get the idea to make impulsive bets or bet more than
5% of their bankroll. If you just look at that stick to your strategy, you have
taken a big step towards being successful at sports betting.
